After completing the exercise of holding the people that I love the most in my mind and just sending those emotions and thoughts out to the universe, I feel that this activity was not difficult for me. I have so much love and admiration for the people that I was thinking of that it was easy to bring them to mind and fill myself with loving kindness. I dont know if I would do this activity again or if I would recommend it to a friend because I feel that how you choose to love someone belongs to you and you alone. In my house we say I love you a thousand times over the course of the day. My husband and I have been known to randomly say i love you and our son has started the habit as well.
I think that in a sense the type of meditation that was focused on for this activity was a type of mental workout. It forces the listener to hold something or someone in this case in their minds and push positive energy towards that object. A person can use this skill with anything or anyone in their lives and this will help them to gain focus and clarity if they are unsure.
